Let me preface this by saying I have nothing against GLBT people. I have lesbian friends and they're amazing and am a huge supporter of gay marriage. That said, I'm still a straight guy. Anyway, I'm a math aide for my college. There's one student in a class that's flamboyantly gay. After the first class, he randomly added me on facebook even though I never introduced myself and have a difficult last name to spell. And he keeps messaging me even though I give short answers to make it clear I don't want to talk. Also he never talks to me in person.
Supposedly he's just very shy in person but can talk online. This confuses me because it usually happens when you like someone. So do you think he likes me? And if he does, how can I tell him to back off while still being professional about it?
