Do you tone down your accent on the phone at work?

This is just a really general question. I find myself doing it sometimes but if I am talking to local companies such as one from Birmingham I find myself speaking in my natural Black Country accent sometimes. Do you make a conscious effort to tone down your accent or are you proud and use all your proper slang etc. on the phone? Remember, general question, no abuse please! I personally love my accent so will never totally switch it off on the phone I like to keep a bit original, but try to make sure people from different parts of the UK can understand me! This question applies to any accent not just Black Country!
