Dodge Ram 50: Clutch Installed Backwards?

So my brother and I just spent a couple of hours trying to install a new clutch into my 88 Dodge Ram 50 (2.6 Lit 4 Cyl) Pick up. Removing the drive shafts and dropping the tranny took a long time. Once all was out, we put in the new clutch. An hour or so later, everything was put back together.

We started the truck up, pressed the clutch pedal down and it felt limp. The shifter wouldn't go into gear, so we adjusted the line. Still no luck. It just does nothing. It doesn't make any noise or anything. Did we put the clutch in backwards?
