Hi I am a little confused as to whether or not this converges.

?(-1)^n

by the alternating series test a_k = 1 ... and according to my text something like this would converge. but it makes no sense to me because... well infinity is neither odd nor even... so how could something converge to either 0 or -1 or whatever.

thanks for any help
