No. The Dodge Transmissions that were troublesome were from the years 1994-2002. It is a very broad area of crappy transmissions, but after the major power train overhaul in 2003 they were better. When Dodge went to the HEMI V8 everything got much better. I had two rebuild my 96 Ram trans once and sold it before I had to do it again 40,000 miles later.
2005 is a fine year for transmissions. It is a shame that Dodge had a era of transmissions that were so bad though.
