does a 2000 chevy express 1500 (v6) van have rack n pinion or a steering gearbox?? ?

steering went out yesturday, i assumed it was the steering pump, but buddy said it may be the rack n pinion, someone else says i dont have rack n pinion, but ebay (yea yea... i know) says they have parts for mine, but also have a gearbox for mine.. lol.
so what does mine have?? rack n pinion, or a gear box, hopefully it's just the power steering pump. thanks. guys.
 
cant really miss it just looking at it rack n pinon mostly on cars but it wil be one big part all steering pumps look about the same which is different part all together rack will wil what pushes the wheel just look under truck you see any tie rod or drag link stuff its not got a rack heres a picture of one and you can just look under front end or open hood and look at drivers side and see gear box on frame and here is picture of gear box and rack and pinon and really not many times neither will go bad that cant be fix will be one or the other maybe not both and many times just a bad hose so best you check to see what is bad before you buy parts you dont need been driving 40 yrs ive replace one gear box and ive replace one rack but ive fix more with a hose or belt or steering pump which go bad more offen make sure you know
