Does any one have any suggestions on how to boost my dial up internet speed?

I use to have broadband, And had to resort to dial up. It is very painful! lol Help! My connection speed is only 49.2 Kbp's. Phone company says no matter who my server is, it is the max I can get. There are no other broadband services in my area besides Roadrunner and well I they want over 500$ to get it back, and refused to work out a payment plan with me. So am I stuck with 49.2 Kbp's?
lol no bill, no service, But thats what happens when u already have 3 children with you and then , havibg to take in my 2 grandchildren whose mother is an addict and the kids were being neglected. So I lost my job,blah blah blah

Have direct TV and they have a service but it's like 160 a month , no TY.
Have heard a little about fiber optics. How does that work?
gleeos I can do that from a desktop?
Can I have instructions? lol

Have you tried talking to a phone company about DSL or even ISDN lines?

Or you could try out a cell phone company's internet. Alltel does/did unlimited internet, and I think sprint might too. Wouldn't hurt.

I increased my speed by installing a router and going wireless in my office. You might try that. At least, you will get rid of some of the wires stretched out across the floor. Gleeos Consulting
