I would like to find something better than "how do you change a light bulb?". Something where people talk about things they've tried and seen.
 
The best ones are usually limited to a specific type or brand of car.
There's forums for basically any vehicle you're interested in.
There's also Yahoo groups that does basically the same thing with a different format.
There's forums and groups for almost any activity you can think of.
Ask a question about that particular car, truck or activity, and you'll get a better answer!
