from Katrina? I mean,I know it was bad,but oh my gosh, they weren't the only people that stuff happened to.I'm from south Louisiana, about an hour away, and I know it was bad here too!I have friends that lost everything. But in Mississippi it was way worse.Out of my 4 families there,3 had everything washed away, and only the slab left. They just worked to fix it,and all New Orleans people did was whine the whole time.I know they lost everything, whatever, but they should have got off their asses and done something about it!
Oh and you never hear about St.Bernard Parish...My friend lived 2 miles from any water, and he had a boat in his front yard!
I know! And I went to Mississippi 3 months after, and they still had people living in tents, yet they were cleaning up their property, while Nola people were destroying everyone else's.
Ok,if you go and watch any segment on Hurricane Katrina, you hear mostly about New Orleans.Never about the other places.Ok,and what about rappers and other people on news and stuff always blaming it on the president or whatever. There were so many deaths because people didn't get out,and Nagin and Blanco were idiots.

I live on the west coast and thought the same thing. what about all of those people not in New orleans but were affected all the same. None you got the news coverage or the help you should have.

You can look back and be proud of what you did to help yourselves and not hurt others.

N O is a "major city" so everything else is basically cannon fodder to the media.

Yep, it's like Mississippi, Alabama and Florida and Texas didn't exist. I also noticed that those people didn't hardly complain, they just did what they had to do. Also the response from insurance companies was equally as bad.
