Does anyone have a good book recommendation for me?

I haven't read a good book in a while and it's hard for me to find a book that meets all of my standards. I hate to sound shallow, but I really want a book that is focused on two characters in love with conflict and drama. I like books that are different from the norm (ghosts, vampires, etc.) and possibly from a different time era just to make it more interesting.

Here are some of my favorite books:
A Certain Slant of Light
I hate to say it..but the Twilight series
Keturah and Lord Death
The Blair Witch Files series
Candy
(just to get an idea of what I'm interested in)

I'm pretty open minded, so whatever you recommend I'm open :)

"how it ends" is a phenomenal book...its realistic fiction...tells a story about a girl that has a grandma which is kinda like her godmother cuz theyre not blood related...what the girl doesnt realize is all the stories her "grandma" ever told her were all based on lies...that she always made up happy tales to keep her lil pumpkin from seeing the dark side life has...so slowly the grandma starts deteriorating due to Parkinsons so she writes the truth of her life out and makes an audio book from it...the girl is having problems at school with a guy she likes and while she comes over to look after her granmda for mandatory community service hours..she doesnt know that this audio tape is slowly starting to change her outlook on life and help her realize...what real love is...

How about Pride and Prejudice. I'm sure you've heard of it or watched the film but it sounds like the kinda book your looking for. Love, conflict, drama and its set way back lol... I love it :D
