Does anyone have their internet through comcast?

I just recently got comcast internet. I have in on my desktop. I would like get it on my laptop with wireless. I keep trying to set up the connection and nothign is happening. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks
Its a cable modem and I have a wireless card in my laptop
 
Did they give you a modem with wireless built in? or a wireless router? You'll need that to use a laptop with wireless. I dropped Comcast cuz their customer service sucks and they rape you with their high prices. High speed internet should never cost more than $40/mo max. Comcast was charging $60 here before taxes and fees and etc. I'm in N IL.

Do you have wireless router or is the desktop connected directly to the cable modem?

If you only have the cable modem then you'll need to purchase a wireless router. You may also need a wireless adapter for your laptop, if wireless isn't built in.
