I'm in the process of clearing a badly overgrown building block. It has many shrubs & small trees that I need to either prune or clear out completely.

A chain saw is the only go & I don't really want to pay top dollar for one of the well known, & far more expensive, brand name types.

This one is about AU$300.00. Does anyone have experience with same - or consider that it may be suitable for what I want?

Thanks.

How much do you think you will use it? .. I work at a hire company and if your not going to use it all that much or dont have that much money right at the moment why dont you hire one? we hire them out for about $60 per day, complete with 2 stroke petrol and will sharpen the chain for you when it gets blunt =)
... If not, I don't see why, if your not using it all the time, why you cant buy a generic brand one!... most of our powertools at home are GMC and equivalant and we've never had any problems, they usually come with 12month guarentee anyway so if it does break you can get it replaced!! =)
