Does anyone know if a "blu-ray" disk can be used in a standard DVD player?

Sorry bud. You'll have to buy a new "Blu-ray" DVD player. There's also "HD-DVD's" Which only play in "HD-DVD" players. So, you have two choices when it comes to high-definition dvd movies. I highly suggest Blu-ray over HD-DVD. It seems to be the one that will come out on top in the end.

im sorry they do not play in dvd players but dont buy a blu ray for 400 or u cluld just buy a ps3 for the same price just the player is to much money
