I'm trying to get my dirt bike running and ran into a little confusion. I found some glue stuff on the exhaust of the head and wasn't sure if it is supposed to be sealed tight. Anyone know what I'm talking about??? Anything helps. Thank you!!
Yes, there is supposed to be a gas tight seal. Otherwise you will lose back pressure in the exhaust, with loss of power.
Normally there is a soft metal gasket between the downpipe & the head, which is squashed when the pipe is tightened up.
