I'm having trouble with my after-market radio and I need someone to ask. If anyone on here has any ideas about the problem feel free to comment. I have a pioneer AVH-P3100 touchscreen in an IS300. Everything works great, however some times sound will stop playing in my front speakers for about three seconds. There are a lot of details to give from here: 1st, I had this unit installed in a 2002 IS300 and never had this problem. 2nd, I reinstalled the unit in a 2003 IS300 and the specs on the car are the exact same. 3rd, the IS300 has a factory amp which requires an amp turn on module, there again I had the same one in the other car. 4th, when you use an amp turn module, they have RCA cables that you plug into the radio for sound; instead of the normal speaker wire. 5th, the pioneer radio has two sets of outputs for front speakers and rear speakers, these are the jacks that you would typically plug an after-market amp into. for some reason the rear outputs on the radio do not work. So as a solution to this problem I added rca splitters that turn two outputs into four. I then added two more rca splitters to the first set of rca splitters turning my original two outputs into six outputs. ( two for front speakers, two for rear speakers, and two for after-market sub) This is where I feel I may have a problem. However, I had this exact same set up in the 2002 car and never had this problem. Has anyone ever heard of this? I apologize for the length.
