probably not you will need to have a data plan with att.. make sure that you have the data plan size that you need based on ur usage. example.. theres no need for you to have an unlimited plan if you dont go on the internet very often but it is recommended that you go ahead and get the unlimited plan so you WONT have any charges and you will be able to get the full use out of ur fone.. after all it is a SMART phone..

that never happened to me on my Vu, but I didn't have it too long because it was stolen and never retrieved
