Average Joe's, meaning the typical person and gizmo's meaning a gadget, like batman's batarang. I'm using these words in a poem i have to write for my language arts class, the lines go:
There's firemen, policemen and even the average Joe's,
They're all heroes that don't have his gizmo's.
