Create a sense in people that they are better than others? Like for example homosexuality, they believe it is a sin and must be stopped, so do they feel they are better than homosexuals? Do they feel that they are greater than those who do not believe in God? Does believing in God/religion inspire negative attitudes towards other groups of people of other religions/idealogies? Isn't that a little hypocritical?

I feel saddened that you think all religious people are this way. While yes, many Abrahamic followers share those sentiments, most any pagan doesn't have that problem.
Speaking of only myself, I don't feel I'm better than anyone else, or that my gods are better than anyone else's. I agree, that it's a little backwards, the way most Abrahamics act and view the world- goes against their Jesus' words.
