does buying pirated dvd is a sin?

the dvd shop itself selling pirated dvd..everyone doin the same thing..moreover everyone downloading songs frm internet. if i buy new movie its 25..pirated 8..same quality.

If you felt compelled to ask this question then you probably know it's a sin. And you're probably hoping to justify it. But hey, I'm all for it. Besides, isn't it also stealing to borrow your friends movie? I mean, you didn't pay to see it. Just food for thought.
