Would dressing haphazardly or over-dressing extremes? Can I wear shorts and flip-flops to go to church? Will my form of dress speak of my faith in Christ? What about those things that are not attached to us? How about keeping a clean house, car, kids, self, etc, etc.

Thanks,

you will know what to wear at church and what not to wear, always dress casually to modest at tending church,no flip-flops,you know how also to run your household, why should you need my help in keeping your house from looking like a pig-pen!,practice the holy rosary, practice make perfect,we love you all,the holy family.

i'm pretty sure Jesus doesn't care what you wear to church! my family and i wear the same clothes to church as we wear to go grocery shopping. You cannot express your love in Christ through the clothes you wear, the last time you dusted your ceiling fan, or how you were too tried to brush your teeth last night. your faith in the Lord cannot be expressed through anything but your actions, heart and mind. i think this is something that you should not worry about because, i believe that your true love of Christ is between no one but you, and the Lord.

cleanliness is good, but God put dirt on the earth for a reason, and i'm pretty sure that was not for you to buy lysol wipes to clean it off! Christ does not care about anything but what you feel in your heart :)

Yes. Every god is crazy about a sharp dressed man.

I sometimes wear shorts and flip flops to teach in the fellowship! We are very casual. The Lord Jesus looks on a heart of worship, not on the outer attire (assuming it's not obviously too revealing or anything like that). The clothing shouldn't matter

Remember that it says in the Book of James, that a man that comes in with poor attire, shouldn't be made to feel "lower", but the opposite should be.

So that in itself, proves by the BIBLE that clothing is not an issue.

Might also be a regional thing. Pastoring in southern California, this is what we do, this is how we dress here. When I pastored in Iowa in the past, I dressed up more, because that is more of the Midwestern mindframe in general. Not better or worse. Just different. Become all things to all men, that you might reach the more, 1 Corinthians 9:22. :)

As for keeping a clean body and house, yes, that is a good idea.
