Does Guild Wars (The PC Game) always need a internet connection?

Does the game need a connection during single play, or any other part of the game?

How well does the game run on dial-up?

Guild wears does and will need a constant internet connection whilst playing
Guild wars was designed to be played on a dial up connection i have not played it on one but have read on forums and reviews that it works fine
great little game for solo playing not much of a "community" feel to it
played it for about 18months maxed out 3 characters then moved on to Eve online keep meaning to reinstall GW and play again with my uber equipped W/Mo Mo/R and R/Rit
but still nonetheless a great game and worth a play
 
yeah im pretty sure it needs internet connection all the time. I have guild wars nightfall and i Love it.
