...difficult than it should be? Since the tenets of all religions have no evidence and they rely on authority, trickery and manipulations to get people to believe the stuff they’re told to believe, does this tend to make people get used to just accepting without question and without critical thought, whatever an authority figure is telling them? I can understand that the teaching process would be made more difficult if students were yelling out questions all the time and challenging the teacher to provide proof, but this is like the extreme opposite. Both situations are bad; you know, one situation is where there’s not enough critical thought going on and the other is where there’s too much of it going on. Obviously a balance needs to established but I’m just wondering if you think having a dominant religion in society means that there’s not enough critical thought going on?
