Does Hollywood favour Jewsih actors?

A friend of mine who is an actor says that the big motion picture companies put their wealth behind Jewish actors in order for people to be more accepting of Jewish people and their culture. He says that in almost a resist way they get preferential treatment and points out the disproportionate amount of Jewish actors and the fact that the large numbers are never discussed on TV or Media because of the huge influence that the Jewish community has. My friend says a lot of talented Christian actors are becoming increasingly frustrated with this blatant favoritism. What do you feel about this? Why doesn't the government introduce laws to prevent this type of discrimination of the native people?
