Does iOS products like iPhone and itouch can connect to other devices like samsung?

i am planning to buy an iphone or an ipod touch. But my friend said that Apple devices doesnt have bluetooth and they can only connect to other apple devices like mac. Is it true? Thanks!

That's true in that you cannot send files through Bluetooth through any apple iPhone or iPod touch. If you wanted to send a picture from a iPhone to a android device the only way you can do that is through messaging. Bluetooth does not work for file sharing.

iOS you can exchange everything automatically by just turning on icloud, so you can make photos appear on the iphone, mac, and ipad all at the same time automatically ... same with all apps, same with imessages if you want them too.
