Does it annoy girls if you vent about your ex girlfriend to them?

I'm a guy. I started talking to some girls that are my aquaintances. We normally don't talk on a regular basis but we are friends that talk occassionally. Anyways, I started venting about my ex after the break-up to them. They were the only friends I had that were girls. After I stopped venting, these girls haven't talked to me since.

Did I annoy and bother them? Was I wrong in doing this?
