Does my Complete Matrix Trilogy blue ray box set need replacing?

I received the complete matrix trilogy as a Christmas present. I tried to watch one two days later. Everything seems to working fine when a video commentary without sound was at the bottom of the screen. I think it was the in-movie experience but when I tried to turn it off it stayed there. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem or maybe knows what to do?
