Does not breast-feeding your child lead to future problems?

Okay, well I had my son, Mikey, when I was 15. I am now 19 and Mikey is 5, turning out to be a great little boy.

But lately I have been hearing that not breast-feeding your child can lead to future problems. Is this true? I am concerned because after I had Mikey the milk just never came for some reason so he grew up on the formula.

Could this cause any problems in the future?

Thanks in advance.

your son will be fine! my mom breastfed my brother for a year and I was formula fed...and he gets sick more often than I do. so it doesn't make you healthier or anything in the long run. it doesn't cause any problems in the future! try not to worry about it...you're doing a great job!

Don't worry, Mikey will be fine. It is good for health and bonding and could possibly help prevent certain things but certainly will not cause problems if you did/could not do it. Your milk never came in so there was nothing you could do anyways.
