does sky broadband go thru the satalite?

i was just lookn at sky for broadband and i know they would have to install the sat dish etc,but does the internet go thru the satalite? if so then id be able to get the max sky have which is 16 mb.
 
The internet does not go through the sky dish. Sky almost force people into having a package deal as it generates more money for them. Its old copper wiring they all use - but amendments are being made. Up to 16 mb can mean 5 or 6 - The literature and marketing of sky is great and they offer a better service than BT for instance but thats not hard in itself. Good luck in your choices and keep off the porno however tempting!
 
I have it. Its sh1T slow and they wont let me out of a contract.
Takes 10 min to watch a 3 min vid on youtube.
Avoid avoid avoid...
 
I don't think so as I too am thinking of switching to Sky and they say you need a BT phone line or cable connection. I guess they buy into a piece of BT business just like Talktalk and the others.
