i live in Alberta Canada and i was wondering if t-mobile sidekicks work with Telus? and if not if i go to the states and get a american # then come back to Canada will it work? no rude comments

T-mobile phones use GSM technology (like Rogers, Fido, or Virgin Mobile), Telus uses CDMA technology. A Sidekick will not work on the Telus network as they are not compatible. If you want to go to the US and get an American number on the T-mobile network, keep in mind you will pay roaming charges for every call you make or receive, and anyone calling you will have to call international long distance.

If you want a Sidekick that bad then you could buy one and use it on Rogers but like badger123ca said it would hardly be worth it to use an American carrier on a regular basis.

sidekicks

i am looking to do the same thing and live in alberta! i really want asidekick because they are absolutely kick ass... however if you were to order one off the internet such as overseas, ebay, kijiji or any other place you find, just take the sim card out of your phone, then pop it in the other phone and it will work on the same plan with your new sidekick as well as your old phone

Hi no your sidekick phone wont work with telus sim until you unlock it from t-mobile ..You can easily unlock your phone using sites like SimpleUnlocking.com they are providing unlock code for all mobile models at reliable cost ...You first check that whether the code is available for your mobile model ,country and network provider ..If yes then pay for it and unlock your phone then freely use it with telus or any other GSM sim ...
