does the bible give any details on when jesus was born or what date he was born on??

thanks...

Does it use the word Christmas or talk about Christmas celebration or celebrating the birth of Christ? - NO!

Does it say the date he was born - NO!

The Christmas tradition was given a date (during the winter) by the church and there is no instruction in the bible to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. **However other traditions such as the Paschal celebration (Easter/Passover) have early roots, celebrated by the apostles themselves, and the particulars became a matter of dispute between the churches.

Some of people, and events mentioned in the Bible, help to narrow down the year Jesus was born.

Matthew 2
1Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king,...
-----

King Herod died in 4 B.C. Jesus was probably born in about 5 or 6 B.C. according to the Gregorian calendar. Joseph and family remained in Egypt until the death of Herod.

In Luke 2, a few details also help to date the time period such as the government of Quirinius in Syria, and the decree from Caesar Augustus.
Luke 2
1In those days(A) a decree went out from(B) Caesar Augustus that all the world should be(C) registered. 2This was the first(D) registration when[a] Quirinius(E) was governor of Syria. 3And all went to be registered, each to his own town. 4And Joseph also went up(F) from Galilee, from the town of(G) Nazareth, to Judea, to(H) the city of David, which is called(I) Bethlehem,(J) because he was of the house and lineage of David, 5to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child.
-------

They believe Herod's tomb has recently been discovered. More details about that time period are unraveling.

It wasn't until 1993 that they found a piece of evidence that was inscribed with word's that supported the life of King David. So something could eventually turn up that gives more evidence about that time period.

No it does not. According to some theological researchers (or something of the sort) Jesus was born during the springtime. This, obviously, does not translate to December 25th. However, the date was picked and decreed by the Church to align with the Pagan holiday of Yule, which is celebrated on the winter solstice December 21st. Many Christmas traditions (such as the red and green colors, the Christmas tree, the gift giving, etc) are taken from Yule traditions. This was done to "ease the way" for Christians trying to convert pagans - you can keep your celebrations, just do it for this god instead of that one.

no in the bible star gazing is looked down upon and if the calender is as acurate in the biblical days he was born in july and yes there is a date but i cant remember and also in the bible no where it says to celebrate jesus birth day but to only walk in his footsteps

Well, to non Christians, Jesus's birth is based on Astrology, and the stars. Which if you have watched Zeitgeist, it talks about what I'm saying. You should get it on DVD or on YouTube to watch... it is very interesting.

no not at all. christmas is pagan doctrines fabricated into the christian faith.

Simple answer...no
But feel free to read the Book for yourself.
