does the cylinder number correspond with the valve number?

Working on a car.... need to find out if the #1 exhaust valve, and the #1 intake valve are both on #1 cylinder.... or if they are in different positions.
 
The valves don't have their own unique numbers - the simply correspond to the cylinders.
