long, deep, depression? Out of misery...they shall rise again.

Is this the 21st Century motto for Republicans in 2009?

It is one thing to say "I don't like Obama, I don't like his economic policies and I THINK they will fail."

It is entirely different to say "I don't like Obama, I don't like his economic policies and I hope, I WANT, them to fail."

Republicans seem to be riding on the hope that more Americans lose their jobs, more American businesses fail, long food lines for the unemployed, sick children whose unemployed parents cannot afford treatment, rising crime rates due to poverty and desperation...etc..etc..

Seems to be they are praying for things to get really bad for ALL Americans...why? So they can come back around in 4 years acting like Big Brother, saying to Americans "we told you to listen to us, we told you to keep Repubs in power, now look at where you poor suffering fools are at, are you ready to vote the Republican Party back into power?"

While Obama's slogans are "Hope" and "Change you can believe in"...is the Republicans 2009 slogan "Desperation, hopelessness and Despair will get Repubs back in there"?

Is the need for Conservatives to be the ones in charge, the guys with the power so great that you really need to pray for Americans to suffer terribly? Are you people really that selfish, are you really so stuck on yourselves that you would rather see a doomed America than a doomed political party?

Do any of you really care that you see your only option for a return to power is through the misery of the American people?

Is there anything you wish positive to happen to America in the next 4 years...or is your hope merely doom and gloom every day of the week for all of America while a Liberal sits in the Oval Office?

The DNC/and the left created fear and dispair for 8 years...even promoted a loss in Iraq to get in......and the point is?

"We lost" Harry Ried, he even went on to say, there were seats in a defeat....

Yes. They've done such a bad job for so many years that the only way anyone would ever consider them again is if things became desperate enough to unhappily give them a chance out of desperation. Even though that would be a bad idea, since they have never taken responsibility for the problems they already caused, and they have zero solutions to offer.

This is a common misreading of what most Republicans are saying. You are only twisting words to suit an agenda.

Any half-wit can tell that they hope the economy picks up.

The language used means that they think buying into the "red right hand" of socialism is a net loss. If we buy into socialism to fix the economy, then we are not solving the problem, only moving into another area.
