I don't know about a master reset button, but when I was having to call the version help line frequently (had a wash of phone problems), it seemed like they had a code for everything. For resetting my pictures, recoding various things... If you called the help line (star 611 I believe), I wouldn't be surprised if they could either reset it for you, or tell you a code to punch in.
