Does the Samsung Galaxy Y play XviD video files?

I'm looking for a replacement for my Samsung MP4 player. I need a smartphone that plays MP3s and XviD avi files. Can the Samsung Galaxy Y do that?

i think no....you can play them by downloading video apps from android market..like vlc,mobo player.
