Does the samsung rogue have to have a data plan?

I have a really shitty blackberry that screws up all the time and I'm really interested in the Samsung Rogue. If anyone has any information on data plans and would know if that phone has to have one, that would be greatly appreciated. (:

You will be told by the Rep. you "must” have a data plan on it. Most companies require that certain phones (such as smart phones) require a data plan. If you really want that phone but are not interested in any data plan I recommend you call (as soon as you leave the store with your new phone) and cancel the data plan you were issued. It is VERY important though to ask the rep to BLOCK any access to the internet, if you fail to do so and "accidentally" access it, you will get charged an arm and a leg.
