...AGW skeptics' argument? An AGW proponent pointed out in an add-on to a recent question that Venus' atmospheric CO2 concentration is 96.5% and that Venus' surface temperature is over 870 degrees F.

That equates to 2,539 times the Earth's atmospheric CO2 concentration of 0.038%.

And it equates to about 15.25 times the Earth's surface temperature.

To increase temperature 15.25 times, you need to increase CO2 levels 2,539 times. That's 253,900%.

We've increased CO2 levels by about 30%.

The AGW proponent indicated that the numbers speak for themselves here.

Well I'd agree - clearly CO2 has rapidly diminishing heat-trapping properties.
