Does this Phineas and Ferb joke have a "ddeper meaning"?

Phineas:"Candace has a great sense of humour, remember that time when she got her head stuck in the sink?" *period of silence between the other characters*
Just something im curious about, could just be a random joke designed to throw the viewer off or something to that effect.
