I'm pretty sure it uses bluetooth technology to connect it's remotes to the console, but I don't think it can be used like a normal bluetooth device, so a bluetooth keyboard and mouse probably wouldn't work. I don't think USB ones work either...
You can't do that. You can however connect a USB keyboard (mice don't work on the Wii) to type on prompts that come up. I have tried a USB keyboard before so I know it works.

for usb yes. it can be just a wired usb keyboard ( not mouse) or you can buy a wireless keyboard. nintendo even makes a wireless keyboard for the wii that works with it you stick in the usb. the only difference between it and a normal wii keyboard is that it has a couple specialized keys for the wii such as the home key and what not that a normal key board wouldnt have.
