dog is trembeling, whining and acts like her rear end hurts?

My 7 yr old bernese mtn dog all of a sudden started trembling and whining and wouldn't move from her fav. spot in the house. She acts like it's her rear end and i have felt around to see if she would flinch to see if her hips are hurting or something and she didn't act like anything was hurting. She also does this weird thing with her mouth like she tasted something gross... She is just acting so weird! Does anyone know what could be wrong with her? The vet said it was her anal glands so we extracted them and it hasn't helped at all.. Any advice would be great!
 
If I had a vet making a diagnosis without even examining a dog, I'd never in a million years walk into that vet's office again. Your dog has something serious wrong with her and she needs a vet who actually cares enough to examine her and give her some real help. No vet who graduated and is licensed would say a dog who's obviously in pain like yours is only needs her anal glands expressed!
