they supported slavery, men being better than women, interracial marriage being wrong, and soon same-sex marriage when it get's legalized.

Don't they realized that they are as backwards as the creation myths they believe is fact.

p.s. i am indeed a troll, but i am also a person who is frustrated with society being held back by nonsense and lack of questioning and searching for truth.

You are absolutely right of course. The problem being is that a christian will not question their faith because it was written down in a book several hundred years after stories occurred. That book cannot challenged in any shape or form and every word is the perfect truth. It is possible one day that science will prove without any doubt at all that the stories we are told about in the Bible are completely false etc. Even then the Christian world will bury their heads in the sand and believe the "word" of the fairy tales.

Hello troll! Christians did not support slavery. They worked towards eliminating it. Christ taught that men and women are equal in the eyes of God. Interracial marriage is not forbidden by God, it is by some races of mankind. The Jewish people were forbidden to marry outside of their culture due to God wishing them to be a living example of how to live life by serving God. They failed to live up to God's expectations. Same sex relationships are simply wrong due to morality. Not to mention the health concerns.

Too bad you aren't serious about seeking out what is true and what is not. The Bible has maintained all along that man is basically selfish and self-seeking of nature, and hasn't history borne that truth out? Yes, it has.

you should read the Bible for yourself. it does not support slavery, it does not say that men are better than women, it does not say that interracial marriage is wrong. it does say that sex between 2 men or 2 women is unclean and detestable. but most of your problems seem to be with rules made by human beings, not rules made by God. I agree with you, society is indeed held back by nonsense and by people who hide from the truth rather than search for it. God's word is the source of truth, and you should go to it directly for yourself rather than take anybody else's word about it.

The law was wrong about all those things, too, so what makes you think that legalization of something makes it right?
Christianity is made up of fallible human beings, and has reflected the culture of the world around it. They were wrong about those things but they were right about others. They will be wrong again, and they will be right again, and all we can pray for is the wisdom to recognize one from the other.

Most christians have been born into the religion and dont know anything else through fear that if they deviated that all hell would rain upon them. This being reinforced by the brainwashing of the sunday school teachings suppresses decent which is punished.
Plus there is a mob mentality thing they want to be accepted by their peers so they will beleive what ever they must to be accepted in society
