So Im a junior in high school and that whole "what do you want to be when you grow up" thing is starting to haunt me. Im not one to sit behind a desk pushing papers. I would much rather do something physically and rewarding. I love music and wanted to be in a band but its just not for me anymore. Im realizing that even if you have a passion for something, it doesn't necessarily mean that its the right path for you. In my case. And Im fine with that.
Secondly, i LOVEEEEEEE makeup and such. So I want to be a makeup artist. but what scares me is that it wont be a great paying job...(i know it depends)
I thought about it some more and I like to help others. So, I started to look into Massage Therapy.
I wanted to do both Makeup and Massage therapy. But i was still iffy (even though its the choice I want)
So then I started to look into becoming a physical Therapist. But then I found out it would take foreverrrrr to get my degree. And idk if thats what I want.
I guess Im just paranoid. I didn't have alot of money growing up and I just want to make sure I choose the right career path for myself. My mom always told me to have a back up education just in case and that makes sense.
Im clearly all over the place LOL. I really want to go with the massage therapy/makeup artist because its just something i want...and it sounds like 2 fun and rewarding careers which screams "ME!".
So..if anyone has had anyone of those careers I listed, can you please give me some advice? Or just advice on my whole situation in general?
