Down grading from htc pc 6800 to black berry Curve through Us Cellular?

i currently have HTC Pc6800 but im kinda getting sick of it. i know both phone need the data plan and required a $25 data plan, so here is my question; Is it possibly to buy a curve and switch the data plan without sacrificing the entire term of the service agreement?
