If I download a Blu Ray movie from a torrent, will I be able to watch it on my MacBook?

It isn't illegal to download and use a torrent file. You didn't tell us it was related to copyright-protected software. Maybe it is, but don't tell. Someone can make a BlueRay disc from a home movie.

If the file is just a compressed computer file (like "GreatMovie.AVI" or "GreatMovie.MP4" or "GreatMovie.MKV", it isn't a BluRay disc package. Many people label their torrent for an AVI or MP4 or MKV file as "BlueRay", because they started with a BlueRay disc, and then extracted a simple movie file from it. The file is no longer connected with any BluRay-ness at all now.

{To use QuickTime Player to view odd formats, such as MKV, or old formats, such as AVI, or "web-only" formats such as FLV, download Perian, free.}

If it is the set of files needed to burn a BluRay DVD disc (all BluRay discs have a “BDMV” directory), you need a BlueRay burner. Apple doesn't provide any BluRay burners for any of their computers. You can buy a BluRay burner at the link below.
