I have downloaded utorrent, just want to know how to use it to download movies, books ext? Thanks for the info, :)

Yeah, just go to a torrent site. There are plenty out there. The ones I trust are isohunt.com, thepiratebay.org, and mininova.com.

Search the torrent you want, click the link with the most seeders, and start downloading.

I would recommend SEARCHING from www.torrentz.com

and I would also highly recommend www.thepiratebay.com

Torrentz is a torrent search engine, and you can search, then it gives you a list of websites,

(like www.thepiratebay.org) to download torrent files from.

also, rargb.com is good for porn too... also you can find most of the Barely Legal series from

torrentz.com.

You may hear of RLSforum.net, this is not a torrent site, but it provides links to download hosts,

which make you wait 45 seconds or so before you being your download, but its still free downloads

Stay away from the applications, (*.exe files)... the "*" means any string (words), they are pretty

much ALL viruses. If your looking for porn, these pirate bay users are the some of the best I' ve

found:

www.thepiratebay.org/user/gnice06

www.thepiratebay.org/user/playboyman

and once you download, you'll want to keep everything oragnized

(*.torrent files away from the actuall file download, like the .avi and .mpeg and .pdf files)

and when you download the torrnet, it'll have all this weird stuff like:

Penthouse_USA_April_2008.pdf.4115498.TPB

just rename it to something like

Penthouse- Apr 2008.pdf

You can download Rename Master if your doing massive renaming of files.

It uses a add/replace type of function, just click Help> getting started...

Remember: You can save or just open the torrent files when you download it from your browser... if

you choose open, then the small

*.torrent file (usually 51kb, give or take 50kb- takes less than a second to download) is saved in

a temporary folder (application data folder), until you highlight it a click the X for remove. This

removes the torrent file from uTorrent and deletes the temporary *.torrent file from app data

and if you choose to save the torrent files, make sure you move the *.torrent file to a folder labeled

DONE or something like that...

Please seed... you'll be really mad if others dont see for you... so be a good citizen (NOT A PRICK)

and at least seed what you gave, to do this:

Open uTorrent

go to options> preferences> Queueing>

the where it says "ratio is:

put a 1 in that box.

also if you want to improve your speed, allow your internet router to accept all communications from

the port that uTorrnet is using (forwarding the port), to do THAT:

go to options> preferences> connection

then hit random port, then copy it, then UNCHECK the enable UPnP port mapping AND UNCHECK

randomize port each start

click on the check mark or x (a check mark means the connection is good)on the bottom of the

uTorrent window, then test port, then use the directions website (portforward.com)

you will need to know what model your internet router is though, or your ip address to put into the

browser, and

that will take you to the router configuration interface...

hit the windown button then r to open the "run" box

then type

nslookup

then put the # (with the dots) in your browsers address bar

and the router interface should say the model somewhere

then you find your model on portforward.com

and follow the instructions.

and for the internet speed part on uTorrent, just run the speed test, but first change the settings on

the website to kb/s...

1000kb is 1mb, there are also online conversion sites too.

ALSO

when you open the torrent in uTorrent, make sure you check what you are downloading in the white

area, just expand the thing...

and you will need these applications to use some downloads:

WinRAR: This is used to open .RAR files... this is kinda like a .ZIP thing, but different... when your

STUFF is downloaded, highlight the files

which have an icon like a stack of books then right click and click "Extract here" you dont need to

make a desktop shortcut when you do the appliction setup

PowerISO: used for disk images, but if you dont want to burn your download on a disk, just open

the *.iso file in power iso and mount it, then just click the iso file... and whala... its open (you will

need to reset you computer after the setup)

VLC media player: This program is much safer than windows
media player, quick time, realplayer, and adobe media player.

and like I said b4, Rename Master, if you need it...

ALSO, CHILD PORN IS ILLEGAL!!!!! (stay away from anything that says l5 or ls showgirls) my high

school band teacher got arrested for looking at chid

porn in his appartment, his name was Mr. Disney... and he's

in JAIL!!! :- ) BUMMER!

Also, you wont be able to use your internet or PS3/XBOX as fast as when uTorrent is closed...when you

exit/minimize it, it stays open, it's just minimized to the

task tray... so if you want your internet speed back or to seed uTorrent after exiting/minimizing it,

right click the uTorrent icon. you may need to expand the task tray by clicking the arrow.

if ANYBODY has any questions, email me...

AND, this looks a little weird because I typed it in notepad,

since its soooo big... and this is a tiny scroll box.
