downloading mp3s with the tmobile sidekick?

I know the sidekick will not allow mp3 or wav files to be used as ringtones. My question is, can you download mp3s at all?? Like if you just want to download a song to listen to with the media player. If so, does anyone know any free site? I used to have a nokia 5300 and I could download songs for the mp3 player. Now that I have the sidekick lx, when I try to download songs I keep getting " file format not supported" messages.
