Had a dream last night that I was walking in a wooded area with a girl who has significance in my life. As we are walking we come by a chain link fence and a home on the adjacent side. In the front yard of this home was two teenagers on horses. They seemed vaguely familiar to me, but apparently my friend knew them well and greeted them, and we jumped the fence to get on the other side. Time passes by and as we keep walking along the fence and we meet a woman with her dog. I've never seen this women before but I got a "motherly" feeling from her so that's what we greeted her by. Again, we start back up on the path and come up to a race track where there are horses racing and we watch for a bit. My friend decides to go over the fence and check out the horses a little bit closer because she is a rider in real life. I decide to return back on the path and walk back towards the house when a horse is in front of me staring me down. The horse is very large with a brown coat, with white splotches, especially one in the shape of an "X" on it's chest/lower neck. The horse charges me and I dodge and hit the fence. The horse then turns and charges me again but this time I stand planted into the ground, putting my weight forward to try and block the force. I'm knocked over and again the horse turns to face me. At this point the woman's dog from earlier is in the horses path towards me. Knowing the horse will trample the dog, I sprint, pick the dog up, push it up to the top of the fence and hand it to the woman who is now there. She takes the dog and runs and I'm now alone with the horse and I wake up.

Sorry for the length lol.

Dreams consist of symbols that relate somehow to real life. Sometimes the connection is very tenuous, but in this case the horse represents whatever is blocking a closer relationship with that girl. It's often the case that teenage girls have a great liking for horses -- take riding lessons, even own them sometimes. Some go through a stage where they like horses better than people.

the "X" on the horse seems to underline that idea. It's forcefully guarding the girl. "X" often means "No" or "Crossed off". Saving the dog probably symbolizes your ongoing wish to please and protect the girl.

That was an unusually vivid and detailed dream, wasn't it?
