drink with animal's blood?

i heard that there is an alcoholic drink that has animals blood in it. i think they said elks or deers blood is that true and if it is would you drink it? i mean there could be something in the blood thats bad for you?

jaggermiester use to be made with deer blood. Heard in som e european countries it's still made that way.
