i have a 1999 gmc sierra new body ext rwd with a two part drive shaft containing 3 u joints. I just replaced the middle u joint as it had failed and now I'm trying to put the drive shaft back together. I cant seem to put the yoke back onto the back male end of the front section of the drive shaft. To remove it, i just pulled it off and heard somewhat of a suction sound. There seems to be a seal and cap to hold in the grease but i cant tell if i should use some channel locks to twist it off or if it should just slide back on. I don't want to force it and damage the splines or seal, ive gotton it to go on but cant force it forward (as easy as coming off).
