I just got this DVD today of I watched it and a part in the middle started freezing for about 20 seconds during the person talking and couldn't tell what the character said.
I have had the TV since 2nd grade... I'm in 8th grade now. The DVD somehow already had a weird looking crack or line running through the disc.
What should I do?!

It's probably NOT the disc but your DVD player. It needs to have the laser reader cleaned. With the new technology DVDs rarely skip or stall anymore. You can buy a DVD cleaning disc that you play like you would a regular DVD. It cleans off the laser lens and fixes the problem in less than a minute. The cleaning discs are usually available at stores that sell blank DVD's. You should be able to pick one up at Walmart,Target, Best Buy, Staples, Office Depot or Office Max. They run about $7

The disc is damaged and the laser cannot scan the damaged part properly. It is "hiccupping" at the scratch. You could try cleaning the surface and use a VERY mild polish on it. This may smooth out the scratch, but no guarantee of success.
