DVD-R appears blank but it really isnt? help me please D:?

Well, I burned a DVD-R in a DVD recorder.. And I can see it in the DVD Player, but not on the computer, and it shows as its empty (blank). So I can't see my videos in the computer.

Is there a different format in the DVD Player and the computer?
Can I solve the problem by burning it in the computer?
 
You have to set the DVD-r so it can no longer wright new information (finalized) using your DVD recorder.
Once that is done you can view it on your computer.

As long as the DVD is not finalized you will have issues viewing it.
 
Maybe the burning process failed. Or maybe it was interrupted before ending and that damaged the "DVD"

You should buy another DVD in blank and try to burn it again
